6psi on 87 octane with no megasquirt. Suck my duct-tape dick, miataturbo.net.
The “broken” turbo was user error. Set up my PCV system wrong, then I tried to fix and made it REALLY wrong and blew a bunch of oil everywhere, then I fixed it and burned off all the oil and now my car runs better than it ever did. It makes maybe 10hp more than stock because my timing is suuuuper retarded until I burn up this tank of 87 octane and put in some better jungle juice, then the tuning happens in earnest. Video and writeup coming this weekend, possibly.

You may need to get that Butt Dyno calibrated, I just did some quick and dirty calculations from after burning oil and it should more like 11.245 HP gain.

Once I get nonsense figured out and decent fuel it should be a roughly 40-50hp gain.

To the wheels roughly 90hp. At 6 psi people report anywhere from 140-165hp to the wheels on a dyno. Given how worn out my engine is I’ll probably be towards the lower end of that spectrum.

It’s not pinging. It pinged briefly because of some oil hanging around in the intake, but once that burned off (cruised around at low throttle to keep it from pinging) it stopped. All is well now due to my aggressively conservative ignition timing.

Hell if I know the compression ratio. My car has garbage compression anyway so traditional thought goes out the window.
